We here at The Bee’s Knees are excited to announce that we now offer laser engraving! Laser delivers a wealth of benefits, especially compared with the traditional method of mechanical engraving. Not only is laser engraving faster than the traditional process, it all but eliminates the potential for damage to your items. It provides you with a much wider range of font options, and produces more legible and articulated lettering. Our CO2 laser is capable of engraving the finest details on the most intricate designs with stunning accuracy.

And what’s more, laser engraving allows you to apply virtually any design to a wide variety of materials: wood, acrylic, glass, leather, fabric, and even paper! This means the sky is the limit for items that can be customized with laser engraving.

Here are just a few of our suggestions:

  • Acrylic and wooden business cards
  • Trophies and plaques
  • Keychains with your company logo
  • Stainless steel flasks and coffee mugs
  • Brushed metal place cards
  • Glassware for special occasions
  • Felt cowboy hats and denim jeans
  • Leather belts, wallets, and tablet cases
  • Copper cuff bracelets and pendants

The list could truly go on and on! Laser engraving is perfect for promotional items, personalized gifts, arts and crafts projects, and much more. The process of engraving is fast and the result is precise and durable. If you need to customize or label an item that is going to receive a lot of wear and tear, laser engraving is the way to go. Your design will stand the test of time.

How It Works

Laser engraving is exactly what it sounds like! We apply a CO2 laser to the surface of the item you want engraved, and the combination of the laser’s fine point and the high degree of heat it produces physically removes the surface of the material by vaporizing it almost instantaneously. This creates a permanent, abrasion-resistant design. The depth of the groove the laser creates can be controlled by the number of passes made over the material.

With traditional engraving, a clamp is required to stabilize the item being engraved, which can cause damage to the material. With laser engraving, no clamp is required and the process produces very little dust. This simple and refined technique allows for shorter processing times and dramatically improved results.

Given its speed, precision, and versatility, it’s no wonder the popularity of laser engraving has skyrocketed! However you want to make your mark, a world of options awaits you.
